Thoreau wrote,
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live
the life you have imagined." Stephen Covey concurs,
saying "Live out of your imagination, not your history." Whether
your focus is personal or professional, I invite you
to imagine the powerful impact coaching will have on your
life.
Imagine . . . How would it be to approach life
after 50 -- your "retirement years" -- with
a clear plan based on personal fulfillment? To feel you
have many rewarding career opportunities? To approach
work with less stress and effort, and with more time
for your personal life?

Other Experience and Expertise:
Coaching Style, Philosophy, or Specialty:
Coaching
encompasses your whole life; it is big and important. I have
experienced the power of coaching first hand, and my commitment
is for you to know the same. I take coaching, and our coaching
relationship, quite seriously and with a strong sense of responsibility.
Yet I also believe that serious need not always mean heavy,
and that there is always room for laughter, joy and playfulness.
My beliefs are rooted in my life experience. I believe that
when we appreciate who we truly are and what we offer, we
can recognize our unique potential and give voice to our life's
purpose. I have seen how clarity of purpose leads to powerful
choices to "own one's place", personally and professionally.
I know the passion, joy and sense of freedom that comes from
owning and honoring that place. And my passion is to help
you make progress towards living yours.
My coaching style is warm, genuine, and nonjudgmental; laid
back yet honest; and collaborative and encouraging. My manner
is joyous and optimistic, without negativity or cynicism.
I love my clients and our coaching relationships.
Types of Clients or Situations:
My
clients are people seeking to know and honor where they
belong -- professionally and personally. I find great
joy in working with people seeking to be their truest self
in their lives. Many are in or approaching their "Third
Age" -- age 50 and beyond -- and are grappling
with changing roles and identities. Their parental responsibilities
are changing, their career focus shifting. For some, advancement
no longer motivates and work has lost its challenge. Others
are preparing for retirement. After many years of putting
work and family needs first, they are wondering, "NOW
what?" They may be planning how to spend their money,
but lack a clear picture of how they will spend their time.
Other clients that come to me are in career transition.
Whether searching by choice or due to a downsizing, they
are looking
to take their place in a way that has heart and meaning for
them. Finally, there are entrepreneurs, writers, professionals
-- all are people who want to overcome their obstacles to
greater personal or professional satisfaction.
