RATING FROM INTERNATIONAL COACH FEDERATION
Westford, VT-- October 13, 2003--Lea Belair is the first coach
in the state of Vermont, and one of about 500 worldwide, to be
awarded the prestigious designation of Professional Certified
Coach (PCC) by the International Coach Federation (ICF), the
world's premier coach credentialing organization.
"With these credentials now available, the market is recognizing
the professionalism of the coaching industry by making informed,
discriminating choices in hiring professionally trained coaches," says
Chrissy Carew, former Vice President of the ICF.
The ICF is the largest not-for-profit professional association
worldwide of personal and business coaches with more than 6000
members and 144 chapters in 30 countries worldwide. ICF was founded
in 1992 and originally incorporated as the National Association
of Professional Coaches, Inc.
The ICF credentialing program is the gold standard in the world
of coaching. It provides tangible proof to clients and the general
public, that the coaches who hold an ICF credential subscribe
to high ethical standards and have met rigorous coaching requirements
based on education and professional coaching experience.
The ICF credential is based on education, experience and dedication
to the profession. All ICF certified coaches have demonstrated
significant coach-specific training, significant coaching experience
and subscribe to the highest ethical standards. Coaches credentialed
by the ICF have passed an ICF approved exam, which includes substantial
observation of actual coaching skills.
The PCC designation denotes graduation from an ICF accredited
coach training program, 125 hours of coach-specific training
and 750 hours of client coaching experience. In addition, satisfactory
completion of a written and oral examination, extensive documentation
including client letters of reference, and a pledge to operate
within the ICF Pledge of Ethics and Standards of Ethical Conduct
are also required.
Ms. Belair coaches leaders, change agents and innovators, small
business owners and entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations,
and new and aspiring coaches. She is a founding-member of the
Coaching Center of Vermont, located in the Champlain Mill, Winooski. |
