Lea Belair, owner of Leap Coaching in Westford, has been named
a faculty member of Coach U. Coach U, a subsidiary of Coach Inc.,
is the original online coach training company, founded in 1992
by Thomas Leonard who is often credited as being the father of
the modern coaching profession. Coach Inc. has trained over 30,000
coaches in 61 countries through its training companies Coach
U and Corporate Coach U. According to the Coach Inc. website,
their students and graduates now coach over 50,000 people per
week
“I’ve always thought of Coach U as the Harvard of
the coaching industry,” said Belair. “I’m thrilled
to be able to be part of the faculty of an organization that
holds such a high standard in terms of its training for coaches.”
A founding member of the Coaching Center of Vermont, located
at the Champlain Mill in Winooski, Belair was the first personal
and business coach in the state of Vermont to attain the Professional
Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach
Federation (ICF). She coaches entrepreneurs, managers and leaders
to be effective in change as well as a select group of mentor
coaching clients who want to build their coaching businesses.
Belair is also the author of Walk on Water: How to Make Change
Easier (2005 Change Agent Press).
